The Little Prince in Thai
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Note: these books are special orders, so they will take longer to ship than other products.
Equally loved by children and adults alike, The Little Prince is one of the most translated books on the planet - which is fortunate, as we are able to offer here editions in many languages for your (or your child's) enjoyment! With wonderful and whimsical illustrations by the author, this delightful tale straddles a world between adulthood and childhood, philosophy and fantasy, satire and fable, and reminds one not of great children's authors of the past, but of more unclassifiable writers like Carroll, Milne, and Tolkien, who seem to be writing as much for older as younger readers, and whose writings can be enjoyed on many levels. Written in 1943 by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who disappeared shortly after in WWII during a flying mission for the Allies in Northern Africa, it became an instant cult classic and has remained so ever since. Enjoy The Little Prince in the language of your choice, and check regularly, as we will be adding new versions as they become available.

Thai-English Student's Dictionary
Compiled by Mary R. Haas
This Thai-English dictionary includes many new words and new uses of old words that have entered the language since Wold War II, and it employs the latest official spelling of words (based on the Thai-Thai Government Dictionary of 1950), with some older spellings cross-referenced to the present spelling. Its 20,000 entries are presented in a single alphabetical listing: standard vocabulary items, names of people and organizations, place names, and abbreviatiions. The pronunciation of words is shown in a scientific writing which includes five tones, stress within rhythm groups, and intonation whenever clauses or sentences are cited. The pronunciation guide is not a translation; rather it is the standard pronunciation used by educated speakers in Bangkok, which often differs from the traditional spelling in tone and vowel length. Levels of usage - vulgar, common, colloquial, elegant, royal, and sacerdotal - are indicated whenever pertinent. Slang terms and idioms are included, and for words that American students find difficult there are grammatical comments and ample examples of usage. 667 pages, 1964.
"An outstanding achievement. . . . Its accuracy and reliability make it one of the most significant contributions to the study of the Thai language."

Making Out in Thai
From the language of eating (a national pastime in Thailand) to affairs of the heart, this book includes all that you need to know to speak in the colorful colloquial language of the Thai people. With phonetic pronunciations in Thai, you can be speaking real Thai phrases like; Jee'ow! (right on!), Kuhn tam ngam arai (what do you do), Suai jang Kun du dee Suai ngarm (you look beautiful), and many more. This book was written by John Clewey, a British writer who specializes in non-western music. He has lived in Thailand since 1984 and the insights he has picked up are invaluable for readers. Making Out in Thai is a glossy paperback that can fit in a jacket pocket or purse. It is valuable as a phrasebook or as a tool for learning the idiomatic phrases that do not appear in textbooks.
