Ladino, or Judaeo-Spanish, (also Judezmo, Djudeo-Espanyol, Djudezmo, Djudeo-Kasteyano, Sefardi, Spanyol Sefardita) is a Romance language derived from Old Spanish influenced by Semitic languages, namely Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, and Turkish, but also Greek. Ladino should not be confused with Ladin, which is a Romance dialect spoken in northern Italy. It is spoken by Sephardic Jews primarily in Greece and Turkey.
