Japan’s Mao Asada has won the World Figure Skating Championship for the third time, The Associated Press reports.
Asada, who finished sixth at the Sochi Olympics, had only a 1.42-point lead after the short program, but managed to claim the gold thanks to her free skate on Saturday.
