Ellen Page announced that she is gay during an inspiring speech Friday at a conference organized by the Human Rights Campaign.
“I’m here today because I am gay,” the Juno star said, receiving a standing ovation at the Time to THRIVE conference in Las Vegas. “And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.”
