Oromo Newspaper Reader, Grammar Sketch, and Lexicon
Yigazu Tucho, R. David Zorc, Eleanor C. Barna
This reader contains thirty-two selections from several representatives of the Oromo press in 1994 and 1995. Each selection includes the original text, vocabulary list and translation; a composite glossary at the back of the book includes many other words not covered in the Gregg or Gamta dictionaries. Also included is a grammatical outline, treating the derivation and inflection of all parts of speech. Major sentence constructions are exemplified from the reading selections themselves. With one 60 min. audio cassette recording of the articles read by a native speaker. 1996, 386 pages, hardbound.
