Nigella Lawson‘s former assistants have been acquitted of fraud, according to The Associated Press.
Elisabetta and Francesca Grillo were charged with defrauding Lawson and her ex-husband Charles Saatchi out of more than $1 million which they allegedly spent on holidays, designer handbags and other items. On Friday, the jury at London’s Isleworth Crown Court found the sisters not guilty.
