NEWS AND VIEWS BY INTERNATIONAL & MULTILINGUAL CORRESPONDENT GABRIELLA WHITE

About

Gabriella White is a Language Ambassador for the UK Government and has featured in the national and international press, campaigning for an increase in foreign language learning. Languages and culture have shaped her life. An avid traveller, Gabriella was brought up bilingually in Dutch and English and travelled Europe from a young age. She went on to excel in French, German, Linguistics and History of Art at the University of Durham in the UK and landed a career in international marketing management, journalism and interpreting. Gabriella also enjoys the challenges of foreign PR projects and her fluency in five European languages has allowed her to undertake work overseas. Just 2 years ago she was reporting a Japanese event and ended up teaching Linguistics to a group of Japanese students, including one of Madonna’s dancers! Gabriella is also a keen travel photographer and is launching her own website later this year to display her work. She also enjoys broadcasting to the world via online radio and likes to explore music from every continent.

Gabriella’s mission to broadcast her message about the importance of fluent international communication is now set to go global as she joins us here at Multilingual Books, ranked 9th highest bookstore in the world (statistics provided by Rankings.com). The company is ranked number 1 for foreign broadcasts including TV and radio. Gabriella explains “The world is technologically more compact these days: the Internet has a big role to play, but communication is at an all-time high. This and globalisation leaves a necessity for improved communications in business, leisure and travel in the smoothest, most effective way possible. The answer to that is language.”
